Apple
picking
I n September-October
apple farms in Wayne County invite people to come
and enjoy U-pick your apples. It is really fantastic!
I never tried so many different sorts of apples at the same
time in my life!
Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. Last weekend the autumn foliage was still at 50% but we will revisit it this weekend and come back with more foliage pictures from this wonderful place. It is an excellent place for hiking, BBQ, etc., etc....

Griffis Sculpture Park is just about 40 miles south of Buffalo and it is a 400 acre park with over 200 monumental pieces of sculpture created by prominent local, national and international artists in the Town of Ashford in the Cattaraugus county. A variety of hiking trails allow visitors to view the grounds while enjoying the art placed in a natural setting. It is especially beautiful these days with colorful foliage!
